Field & Main Restaurant

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Field & Main, and the entire evening was nothing short of exceptional. We were seated in a private, heated cabana with soft lighting and string lights, which created the most intimate and beautiful farm-to-table atmosphere. Every dish from start to finish was incredible. The OooMami Smash Burger with Ovoka & Chapel Hill Farms ground beef and umami bacon jam was unforgettable, and the bison strip steak — three peppercorn crusted with bourbon cream, maitake mushrooms, potatoes, arugula salad & sab — was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Had an amazing experience for our 4th anniversary. The custom menus for our anniversary and for our dog’s meal was so sweet. Get yourself an outdoor cabana if you have a pup - so worth it! Food was incredible and portion sizes were perfect. We had the green salad, the baked bread, the bison, the confit chicken leg and the apple cheesecake. The two things that made our meal stand out was the great service by Sarah Jo and how well they took care of our dog. Sarah Jo was THE BEST! Super personable, answered all of our questions, and always made sure we were taken care of.

The food, drinks and entire experience were top notch. Dinner will not come cheap but you're paying for fine dining without needing to wear a suit and a tie. Classy, elegant and comfortable.

This restaurant is housed in a cute rustic building which was converted to a restaurant in the center of the town Marshall. We ordered smashburger for the appetizer and the bison filet steak for our entree. The vegetables are all sourced from local farms and prepared fresh. The burger was very tasty with all the flavors coming together perfectly with the onions and unami bacon jam.

Totally enjoyable dinner night. I think we might have been lucky to get a table with no reservations and we made the best of it; trying a number of items. This restaurant really provides for a lot of charm with top quality food. You can even reserve your own private Casida. So cute! The helpful and friendly staff add to the charm. Well done.
