Festus Public Library

It is sad how few books this library has. If you're looking for a good selection, maybe go elsewhere if possible. But it is clean, there's a decent amount of seating, and the kids section has a lot. The problem is the noise from the kids section projects into the main area of the library. That said the library is quieter than I anticipated from reading other reviews.

Very nice on the inside and outside. The staff is very nice. They had most of the books I was looking for.

This library is always very noisy, filled with things like screaming children, loud adults, and equally loud staff. Are these people unfamiliar with one of the whole points of libraries? To be quiet? Unfortunately it's the only library in walking distance so I will have to cope. But I have had to leave a few times because the library staff just make zero effort to keep the noise under control.

A nice quiet place to read and look for books! I will say that I tend to have better luck finding books from other branches. You also cannot bring food or drink into the library (except for the lobby area). I like to work with coffee/water and snack so it stinks not being able to do so at the library.

Super friendly staff. The children section is very comfy for the Littles. There are so many resources available to the community, and this library is one them.
