Fat Pete's BBQ

Today I had probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The bartender behind the bar was unbelievably rude and completely unprofessional. When I approached, he didn’t even bother to look at me properly — staring somewhere past me, answering in a dry, annoyed tone, as if I was interrupting his personal time. Every question I asked was met with some memorized phrases, delivered like he was doing me a huge favor. No politeness, no basic respect at all. He looked totally checked out and indifferent to the guests: unfocused eyes, slow strange reactions, very odd behavior overall. Talking to him was extremely uncomfortable. Instead of explaining or helping, he spoke in a condescending way, interrupted, rolled his eyes, sighed loudly, as if my presence alone was irritat

We got this delivered and couldn’t be happier with the service! So fast and accurate. The driver even double checked to make sure we knew it was delivered to our front desk. Collard greens and cole slaw were fabulous. The brisket was very tasty, but rather dry. It needs something to moisten it, or it needs to be monitored better wherever it’s stored for slicing. Overall very happy. Would be absolutely incredible if the meat could be less dry.

Bartender with long beard and hat was awesome!!! Two of them on tonight and dude was on point! Pulled pork sandwich for me and burnt ends grilled cheese for the bf, both amazing!!!! The pork omg soooo soft and the spicy vinaigrette is so good! Not too spicy at all! The hush puppies also so goood, along with the buffalo chicken sliders! The chicken was perfectly cooked and breaded! Very good food, atmosphere is def sports bar but very welcoming, and again, bearded bartender was awesome!!!

I initially tried Fat Pete's BBQ from a food truck. The food truck BBQ was awesome. On this Thursday evening, I stopped by for a to-go combo and it must have been an off day. I had the 2-meat combo with sliced brisket and spare ribs. Both were a bit dried out as if they were under heat lamps too long. There was a white condiment in the bag that tasted like oil and paste. It looked like it was trying to be horseradish. It was expired or rancid and made me very nauseated when I tasted it. The side of coleslaw also tasted a bit old. I chose collard greens as a side and they were actually decent. I didn't get any BBQ sauce on the meat or on the side. I am not sure if I needed to ask for it. I had a really disappointing experience at Fat Pete’s BBQ because of the bartender. He was extremely rude and unprofessional—he wouldn’t even look you in the eye, which felt very disrespectful. His attitude came across as not just unfriendly, but also borderline racist, and that made the whole visit uncomfortable. This kind of behavior has no place at any establishment, especially not one that gets such positive reviews. A business like this deserves staff who treat every customer with respect and dignity. Until management addresses this issue, I can’t recommend this place to anyone who expects a welcoming and professional environment.
