Customer Reviews
Delicious food with amazing service and atmosphere. They have a large traditional menu with generous portions. Every plate ordered was always scrumptious! The best Ethiopian restaurant in the Boston area! Whether dining in or ordering out, this place is highly recommended!
Today 10/8/2025 ordered kitfo from this restaurant, but what I received was not kitfo at all. When I brought the food home and opened it, it was overcooked, burned, and tasted like a spicy steak, nothing close to the traditional Ethiopian kitfo I ordered. It was so spicy and dry that neither I nor my friend could eat it. I immediately called the restaurant to ask for a replacement, expecting basic courtesy and customer service. However, the person who answered, who identified himself as the owner, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, he insisted that he made exactly what I ordered. When I requested a replacement, he told me that I would have to pay again for a new order, even though the mistake was clearly on their side. As a paying custom
So delicious, flavorful enjoyed by the 2 adults and two 10 year olds and two 12 year olds new to Ethiopian food! We didn't know what to order from an extensive menu and Ms. Misty recommended the combo plates with a little bit of everything and it was perfect! Kids loved beef, chicken, lentil ones the most. I loved the chickpea and cabbage. Also love the cozy, friendly vibe of the place. We'll definitely be back!
The vegetarian combo was delicious, especially the shiro, gomen, and misir wat. The injera was perfect. We also had the foul (ful) with soft warm bread. Very good!
We attended the Malcom X 100th Birthday Read a Thon and stopped in for our first experience with Ethiopian cuisine. The setting is unassuming. Everyone inside was speaking another language, perhaps Aharmic? Some were sipping coffee that was served in lovely pottery. We ordered Sambusas, some veggie dishes and a chicken dish. Food is prepared to order so sit back and enjoy the wait. Food arrived hot and was tasty. We loved the chickpea sauce the best and the Samusas. The hot ginger tea was divine. Everyone was super friendly.
