Farrand Hall Bakery

I had heard good things about this bakery but was very disappointed with the items I received. BAKED GOODS The bakery items we ordered (cinnamon roll and a blueberry danish) were dry and crusty as if they had been sitting out all day. Even though we purchased these an hour before the bakery closed, I would still expect a high quality product especially if I’m still being charged full price. COFFEE I’m unsure where they source their beans, but the coffee beans were quite burnt. I ordered an iced mocha, and the burnt flavor of the espresso was very apparent even in a 16oz drink diluted with milk and chocolate. My husband ordered a double shot and didn’t drink it due to the foul burnt flavor.

Worth the hour and a half drive. The quiche and apple hazelnut side salad were divine. Chocolate chip cookie, molasses sandwich cookie, and cream puff were delicious. Cookies are wonderfully chewy, cream puff is very sweet and perfect to share ( I put a little flaky salt on mine at home). Quiche is flaky with a custardy interior. Great esthetics and friendly staff. Highly recommend and can't wait to return.

Stopped in for lunch. Hubby and I split the cinnamon roll (which was incredible) and the ham sandwich (which was solid). We took a huge chocolate chip cookie to go - which had a terrible burnt taste. I had a carmel latte which was great, husband had a hot chocolate, which must have been made with water as it was so hot that it was undrinkable for 30+ minutes.

I found my new favorite place! Love the food, the customer service, and the atmosphere!! Such a cool, fancy place. A must see if you’re in the area. Can’t wait to come back!!

Shout out for an absolutely fantastic dinner & great service. We were treated to amazing food at the first ever private evening dinner at the Farrand Hall Workshop. They even catered to specific food allergies. Our only complaint is that we live 1 1/2 hours away from enjoying your fine food more often! John & Sue
