Farmer Boys

On Fridays I like to get a burger for dinner, so I wanted to check out Farmer Boys because I have never been there. There are 2 unisex bathrooms that seemed to be clean. The people that take your order are really nice and helpful. 👍The beverages were self serve, which I liked. It wasn't very busy so I took my time looking over the menu. They serve a variety of breakfast items and a variety of regular sandwiches and different burgers. Both my husband and I chose the Big Cheese Burger with Fries. They brought our food out to our table and made sure that we didn't need anything else. The lettuce and tomato on the burgers looked very fresh and inviting and the fries were nice and hot!! Pretty darn good. The burger had great flavor, was juicy, and fresh ingredients. The bacon was wonderfully crispy. There breading chicken strips wasn’t too thick and were well seasoned. The fries were seasoned well and stayed crispy throughout the meal. The cookies and cream shake was nice and creamy. The only low point were the onion rings. The breading was falling off and they were about as bland as anything I have ever had, no seasoning at all. The staff were professional, efficient, and kind. Someone checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything. First time here. The drive thru had a long line so we went inside. The line was long inside too. I thought it must be good to have this many people waiting. The line was very slow, it took around 10 min. We order, we pay, we go find a seat. Tables were dirty, no napkins, got a towel and wiped it down. 20 minutes later, our food comes out. Both of the burgers were cold. Not even a little warm. The onion rings and zucchini, were just warm. We didn't send it back because it had already been 30 min since we walked in. Zucchini was good, onion rings were ok. They didn't peel the last layer off, so each bite had that unchewable bit of skin. Burger were ok. Cold burgers tend to get dry, and these were. If we go back again, it will only be for zucchini and onion rings.

I’d waited a bit after this location opened to hopefully give them ti to get the kinks out. I’d only had Farmer Boys one other previous time when visiting family in California. So I was looking forward to giving them another try. First thought was it was pretty busy and they seemed to be bringing food out pretty quick. There was only one couple ahead of us so the wait wasn’t too long. The cashier was friendly, but couldn’t answer our questions without looking to another employee for help. We decided to order the southwest chicken salad and a burger and fries. It was a bit pricy, but we wanted to try something new. We found a table and waited with our number. Food tasted great. I had the Farmer Club. Another on our group had the single burger and the Bacon Turkey club. Everyone thought it had great flavor. Clean restaurant.
