Famous Uncle Al's

I’ve been going to Uncle Al’s since I was a little girl, and it honestly hasn’t changed a bit in the best way possible. It’s classic, consistent, and homey. They have the best hot dogs and hamburgers in Virginia Beach, hands down. The staff is incredible so nice, so friendly, and most of them have been there forever. It feels like everyone knows you, even if they don’t. No matter which location you go to, you’re guaranteed a delicious meal and a warm, welcoming environment, whether you’re eating solo or with friends. A true Virginia Beach staple. Always has been, always will be.

Terrible customer service. The sign on the door states that the grill closes at 4:45 pm. The employee saw me getting out of my car and locked the door at 4:40 just as I approached it. Then the other employee who was already cleaning the grill, before 4:45 pm looked at me and mouthed that thay are already closed. If they are going to close before the posted hours, change them! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I know I am only one customer but reviews and word of mouth goes a long way! I used to like and enjoy going there. NO MORE!

Not sure why but I came in with low expectations and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The place was packed with people. The server was very nice. Food was excellent and exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Prices are extremely great too. Highly recommend.

Great hotdogs, home fries, onion rings, and delicious cheese burger. Buns were very fresh. Pepsi products. Only 6 tables and some barstools. This place is slamming busy, the staff must go home exhausted at the end of the day.

The atmosphere didn’t feel particularly friendly or welcoming compared to other diners in VB.
