Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que

Upsate: 11/17/25 I ordered a dinner combo for lunch. This time I ordered The Lewis style rib plus 1 meat combo. The ribs were very good. My plus meat, use the brisket, full of flavor. Also Wilber beans are always a good side dish. I was pleasantly surprised at how big the dinner salad was for my meal. I ordered t he burnt ends as a take home appetizer. The service was fantastic. This was a very positive dining experience

Very hard to actually call this “Bbq”. Brisket is easily some of the worst I’ve ever had. Very dry, very little flavor, at least it wasn’t very chewy. We’ve ordered for work a couple times and in previous experiences I’ve tried their ribs and chicken as well. Ribs were incredibly chewy, no smoke flavor. Chicken was ok, but bbq chicken is hard to do that bad. Cornbread tastes like a slice of cake. Not in a good way. Bbq sauce is just sweet with liquid smoke flavor, and that’s about it. Portion size for what you pay is honestly terrible. The only plus I’ll give them is the sides are not bad. Very hard to recommend, I wish I had something else positive to say. The staff are very nice.

Took my Mother out for an all day outing and finished the day with eating out at Famous Dave's BBQ that my Mother had never been to before and we had two different full racks of BBQ ribs that we shared with each other with potatosalads, Home and Cesar salads, cornbread, and drinks. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere felt like a Southern Texas style Cracker Barrel feel.

We went to Famous Dave's when we lived in Wisconsin until 2016. I am glad they have them here in Oregon - the food is great. Our server both times we went this location was Jamiel - he is great, knows and does his job well. Here is the menu. Enjoy, we have.

The Georgia pork sandwich. It seems like this is a reoccurring theme amongst chain restaurants, shrinking portions and higher prices, this place is no different. The sandwich was so small for the crazy price, but that's not what really got me... they charge you an extra $3 to put a couple tablespoons of coleslaw on top. I have never ordered any type of bbq pork sandwich and not have coleslaw with it as part of the meal; t was pushing $20 because of the added slaw. Honestly, it's a joke. I can't speak for the other items on the menu, but this one isn't worth the money.
