Family Chinese Restaurant and Bar

We had never tried it here so we gave it a try on our way home today for an early dinner. The food was decent, I’m not sure we will be back but the food was ok. The atmosphere seemed fine but the server we had was rude, which made for the experience not the best. We also weren’t given take out containers to put our leftovers in , the server took it away out back to package up and then brought it back out which we thought was odd, but we usually got to Yang Ming 2 so we will prob just keep going there from now on…

First time going to this restaurant and got the shrimp lo mein lunch special. $14 and change for this huge portion of the shrimp lo mein, pork fried rice and 1 excellent egg roll. Everything tasted great and what a bargain. Went on a Friday for takeout around 1pm and the place was packed! Will definitely go back when I'm in the area again.

I actually stopped going because I kept getting sick the day of or after. My wife went 2xs after I stopped and then she started to get sick.. not sure what changed because she was going here for over a year without any problems cept the service being slow in her opinion. But after she started getting sick, we've both stopped going.

We went to this restaurant hoping for delicious, steamy dumplings—but it was a major disappointment. The dumplings were a disaster: not hot at all, and the dough layer was way too thick. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THE DUMPLINGS. The Chicken Lo Mein noodles and Chicken with Garlic Sauce were good, but overall, I would not recommend this restaurant despite its high rating.

We’ve been eating here regularly since it opened. It was remodeled several years ago. It is a very popular spot. The drinks are uncommonly stiff, so the bar is always packed with older patrons. The lunch specials remain a good value. Food is not overwhelming and there are several dishes best avoided. Anything fried can be overcooked and tough, as are chicken skewers and too often boneless spareribs. Fried rice is excellent, hot and sour soup good but not very spicy, and apps are probably the least satisfying. Very efficient service. House specials are excellent. Pad Thai is average. Overall, though, by far the best in the area.
