Fable

loved the atmosphere! food was rather decent and not much of my particular liking, but service was nice and we really enjoyed being in their patio! their garden was absolutely charming and beautiful.

Fable’s biggest draw is definitely the backyard garden dining area — it’s spacious, charming, and a great setting for catching up with friends. That part lived up to the hype. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the atmosphere. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and specifically asked the waiter whether it was chicken thigh or breast. He told me it was dark meat, but it was very clearly chicken breast, and on the dry side. I’ve had solid chicken breast sandwiches before, but this one missed the mark texture-wise. It was seasoned fairly well, but I strongly prefer fried chicken sandwiches made with thigh, so this was disappointing — especially after asking directly. I didn’t make a point to call it out at the table, but it’s a pet peeve when staff confidently give incorrect info.

Food was on par with very nice covered courtyard dining area. Tasty dishes made with quality, fresh ingredients. Menu was varied enough to cover our group’s dietary restrictions and open air dining made it possible for the immuno-compromised to dine out unmasked. Not an easy combination to find!

This is one of those classic can’t go wrong with any choice type of places. Nothing is way better than something else, everything delivers equal quality and quantity. The prices are average for SF and the vibe is very cute. The garden space is nice and has heaters, because you know… SF. Service was friendly and attentive and we overall had a great experience.

The staff was super friendly. The space was beautiful with heaters for each table in the outdoor patio, a mini rainforest in the middle of the patio with blossoming flowers and fruits and the sound of a flowing waterfall. The food was AMAZING! The vegan lasagna is the best thing my taste buds have tasted. It was so good I needed to buy a second one to take home (which I’ve never done). I would eat here everyday if I could. New favorite restaurant!
