Evergreen

I've been a customer of Evergreen's for roughly six years and I'm guessing the owners or perhaps management has changed. Up to now I've been a fairly regular customer. And issues that prompted this review has occurred on a handful of occasions now. I used to call in orders and they would wrong so I started walking into the restaurant to place my takeout order in person so that I could make sure there is no miscommunication. Last night I followed the familiar protocol, state very clearly no peppers and zero heat / hot spices of any kind. The person who took my order repeated it back verbatim. A few minutes the same person handed me my order and again repeated the order verbatim. I got home took one bite and immediately my face was on fire. I quickly dissected the dish to discover a ton

One dish was so watery it looked like soup and the rice was mush. The rest of the meals were mediocre at best. 3 out of 7 of us ended up with bad stomach aches and one started vomiting in the night. We won’t be back again. Which is disappointing because they used to be good.

With great reviews, I decided to give Evergreen a chance. The staff was nice. Our order was plain lo mein & sweet-&-sour chicken. My dish was chock full of soy sauce. All I tasted was salt. The chicken didn't come out well either. When I got home, I toweled off the excess soy sauce. I added tofu, to try to get the noodles to be tasty. it didn't work. I won't be returning.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't order from here again. The service was pretty good, but the quality of the chicken was definitely lacking. Easy to order online and priced fairly, I had high hopes for this spot! Sauce is light and the majority of the chicken is dark meat

The food is amazing. This is how shrimp egg foo young looks when made fresh. And the vegetables are crisp. This is my go to place when I want good quality Chinese food
