Evelyn's Pizza

5 stars all the way around! It was so good that we went back the next day. The food definitely tasted like authentic Italian cuisine. Our servers were amazing and the atmosphere felt like we were in Grandma Evelyn's home kitchen. Meravigliosa!

This place has become a regular for me!!! We're always treated like family and the food is absolutely 💯 Italian with the amount also being Italian, you never leave hungry and have some to bring home. Shout out to our new favorite waitress "Violet " you made our day soooo much better 💜 . By the way the photo taken was "after" I shared 1/2 with my friend. BIG portions ,,,so enough to share

This place has gone down severely since the death of Evelyn in 2019. In 2021 & 22, I ate in several times and enjoyed a quick quaint local place to get a nice bite with good table service. But the young men that work cooking food don't seem to take their jobs too seriously nor care about the quality or presentation of the food or how well it's cooked by health department standards. The Veggie pizza slice had like warm large slices of vegetables piled high with no cheese at all. The crust was tough and tasted day old and the sauce was slopped onto the single slice. I didn't like the way the pizza slice was handed to me across the counter, nor how unpersonable and disinterested the young Hispanic person that made it seemed towards a customer. This was my first time at Evelyn's Big Italian and I have passed it many times going on Texas Street. I happen to be working the Farmers Market across the street and was just going in to use the restroom. When I walked in, the food smelled good and I decided to get a slice of pizza. I thought it was takeout only, but around the side there are 2 areas for dining in. The booths in the entry were full of pizza boxes, so I'm guessing they sell a lot of pizza. Customer service was great and it took about 15 minutes to get a slice of Vegetarian pizza with extra mushrooms and olives. It was so big that I sliced it up and split it. It was delicious and I will definitely go back to try other items.

Our server is Fantastic. Although it took some time for dinner to arrive. It was worth the time it took to make. They had a slight oven malfunction but. The Bianca Pizza. The best choice i could have made here at Evelyns. Coming back!
