The staff and management are really amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all things related to the library. Highly recommended.

I have been to the old location when I first got there in 2010 when I was 11 at the time. I checked out my first library book and it was pretty good. I also rented out the library movies from the children's, teens and adults. I have been there in Monticello for a long time. When the library moved to a new location in 2015, it included new children's areas for young children to play.

Unprofessional staff, the lady behind the cash register with the glasses was rude and disrespectful, they don’t care about customers at all, not recommended to go there again. The lady with the glasses who works at that place did not want to talk to me at all, she gave me a negative attitude when I literally came inside the public library, that’s all.

I'm a fairly new user of this library in the past year or two, but I find it an excellent facility and collection. The building is in great shape and has a lovely outdoor space, in addition to ample parking in central Monticello. I've found the book and ebook collection very good, and items I requested from the wider system were delivered very quickly. They use Libby for ebooks and have an efficient online catalig. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. There aren't a lot of seats, but it's never crowded seemingly. I look forward to joining events here, of which they offer a full roster.

For being the library near the major county government buildings, it is a very poor library. What makes it poor in my opinion? It has minimal seating options. In fact, very limited seating options and very limited charging areas as well as very limited public computers. There are not many areas you can have a conversation in the building or a spaces you can sit and focus. They have security guards, but they often have headphones in, and they often walking in and out of the buildings and not present. They say they have limited space because it’s a small area however I think that that is not an excuse to not have a good area for the community- I think the space could be reworked. Also staff were not super helpful when asked questions, and their responses were not great. I love libraries an
