Eovaldi's Deli & Catering

I love muffuletta sandwiches and someone recommended Eovaldi's. I was not disappointed! The staff was friendly and fast and the sandwich was great. I just got a half (it is made on an 8" bun)!. The bread was soft and chewy and the olive spread had wonderful flavor. The ham and Genova salami were tasty and tender. The pepper cheese added the perfect kick. I'll definitely be back to try the other menu items too. The dining area has plenty of seating and it has that great local deli vibe that fits perfectly on The Hill.

The only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is that they could use the extra seats for eating (maybe outside?). Other than that, they could very possibly make the best sandwiches in STL (I can report that there is no finer meatball sub in STL). This is the kind of place I think of when I think deli (pffff't - NOT SUBWAY). The employees know almost everyone who is a customer, know their orders, and how they like their sandwich assembled. I hear they have great pizza and pasta, but their sandwiches are so good I never felt the need to order something different.

Eovaldi’s Deli captures true old-world charm the moment you step inside—the smells alone let you know you’re in for something special. We tried both a New York-style sub and a create-your-own, paired with Fitz’s sodas and Zapp’s chips, and everything was absolutely amazing. The bread was fresh, the meats and toppings were top-notch, and the balance of flavors made every bite memorable. The atmosphere was extremely pleasant, and the staff made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic deli flavor with an unbeatable vibe, Eovaldi’s is a must-visit.

Had an amazing sandwich the "special" and a cup of chili. Both were absolutely delicious! Freshmade & Homemade and definitely worth the trip. Besides the many sandwiches they also have pizza and a great selection of take home frozen items to choose. Highly recommend trying!

This is the hidden gem of the Hill! We stopped it on Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch. We are greeted by two friendly members of the joint, who quickly gave us menus and helped us order. We had our food in less than 5 minutes brought to our table. Eovaldi’s Special was awesome. The combination of meats and veggies is perfect. The bread was super fresh. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I have had their sausage and meatball sandwiches as well which are excellent choices. We also got a side salad and their soup of the day: chicken and dumplings. Amazing. The dressing on the salad is their homemade vinegar dressing which was also great. 4-5 tables to sit at on the inside. Clean and cozy shop. Be sure to check out the frozen section where they have plenty of pizzas and sausa
