Empire Bagels

Walked in and wasn’t even greeted—just stared at, which immediately set the tone. I ended up spending almost $40 on a plain grilled chicken wrap and one buffalo chicken wrap, and neither was worth the price. The service was horrible, and the food was bland and not up to par at all. For what you pay, you’d expect at least basic customer service and better quality. Very disappointing experience.

🌟 Delicious coffee, creative bagels & smoothies highly recommended! I stopped by and had a fantastic experience. The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the bagel I ordered was fresh and satisfying. It’s clear they bake them in-house and offer a huge variety everything from classic flavors to a fun rainbow bagel, plus a great selection of breads and sweet cupcakes.  Their menu also includes amazing protein milkshakes and smoothies that complement the baked goods perfectly. I tried a shake that was thick, creamy, and exactly what I needed mid-morning.  If you’re in the area and craving a solid coffee+bagel combo or a protein-packed drink, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ve been here a few times. Some staff members are very welcoming, while others seem a bit unsure or disengaged. I usually come for the juices, which are consistently good. One downside is the hours—they sometimes close as early as 3 PM, and I wish they were open later in the evening. Another small frustration is efficiency. At times, when I’m ordering more than one item and there’s no one else in the store, only one person handles everything while other staff stand idle. With a little more teamwork, orders could be completed much faster. Overall, I like the products, but there’s room for improvement in consistency and operations.

Stopped in this morning for a simple bacon, egg, and cheese. The front counter employee wasn’t outright rude, but her demeanor was very lackluster and she seemed irritated throughout the interaction. When I asked what type of meat was used for the bacon, I was told “regular,” and when I tried to clarify, it was met with visible annoyance. It’s a reasonable question, and the response made the interaction uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I understand mornings can be tough, but basic professionalism and customer service still matter. Unfortunately, this experience was enough for me to decide I won’t be returning to this location.

The atmospheric and the food was great. Bagels aren’t as warm and fresh as their location in the Bronx….hard to beat. Ample seating. No high chairs so just a heads up. Plenty of options. Ask for light milk when ordering an iced coffee. Service was rushed. It was our first time at this location and the gentlemen assisting us seemed frustrated that we didn’t know exactly what we wanted.
