Empanada Alley by Cuba Libre

Redoing my original review to reflect my current opinion. It's even higher than before, and it was already 5 stars. The chicken empanada is like a 6 star experience. I would bathe in those mfers. The guava ones are excellent as well. Anyways, somehow these things taste better than they look. They're honestly pretty pricey considering what you'd pay for these off the street in certain parts of the world lol, but if you enjoy empanadas these are absolutely bangin and the best I've had in Philly. No notes on the empanadas. 11/10. Only thing I would change about this spot in general is the delivery-only policy. Please give me a pickup option. The staff was so helpful. A bunch of grimy and weary sailors from the Philadelphia Ship Preservation Guild showed up and the hostess, bartenders and wait staff welcomed us and made us feel special. Thanks to the G.M. Aaron as well for offering the Guild crew VIP treatment

The food was absolutely amazing, especially the dessert empanada. Only downside is I wish that we could pick up the food in store rather than use Door Dash.

Cuban sandwich was poor, not enough meats for $12 and it was cut in half instead of diagonal. The maricas were the only highlight.
