Emmett Public Library

Everyone here is very friendly & helpful. For those within city limits a library card is FREE, for those in the county it's <$60.00 a year to check out books, DVDs, & other things like speciality cake pans. They have computers for everyone use as well as seating tucked away in a quiet corner for reading or research. There are items to purchase such as books, and hand made items. There's also a monthly Meet & Mingle craft for adults and 1st Wendsday kids craft corner as well as storytime. Dont miss the upcoming Christmas Bazaar beginning Nov 18th & do your Christmas shopping.

For such a small town, this library really goes the extra mile! There are constantly programs and events planned here to keep children and parents alike engaged with each other and their community. The computers are well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful and the book selection is quite extensive. They also seem to support and advocate on behalf of local authors.

We work with about 12 boys from the age of 7-10 years old. When I called the library after a friend had told me how wonderful the staff are with our kids in the community. I ask if we could bring our boys to the library Melissa said” they would love to have come and they would do a treasure hunt and a tour of the library and much more than we had time for”.Melissa was amazing and very patient with our boys I was very impressed. I learned so much and my husband and I are excited to go back! Thank you so much💕

This is the "MOST",....welcoming, helpful, interactive, friendly library I have ever encountered. They strive to make each child feel that they are the most treasured little one, to toddle through their doors..to the weathered with age group, who enjoy a listening ear and are generally avid readers ..and all those in-between... Everyone is treated royally by the staff and volunteers, from setting up Libby, finding that special author, help printing, computer questions...and the list goes on.. Emmett Library is a treasured gem, and a unique experience much enjoyed by those who enter it's doors.
