Customer Reviews
The food was well-balanced, but not particularly exciting. The madeleines and bread that came with the lamb loin were great; nothing else was memorable. The quality and quantity of food was not reflective of the high price point, especially compared to other establishments in the city. Lighting was quite dim, which made it difficult to clearly distinguish each dish's components. Mandatory 5% kitchen surcharge was clearly listed, but included in the subtotal rather than separate from the subtotal, likely as a way to extract higher tips from customers on top of an existing mandatory surcharge. Service was great.
Emmett is the EXACT dining experience I go searching for. Unexpected yet delicious dishes, divine cocktails, and staff who make it nice (from the hosts to the servers to the food runners, all are fantastic!). This was our third time visiting Emmett and it was astonishing. We got the sesame madeleines, beets, cured tuna, short rib borek, and agnolotti. Only regret was not saving enough room for dessert!
Great meal overall — some of the best Mediterranean flavors I’ve had. The first courses were incredible (especially the Lamb Kibbeh and Lamb Carpaccio), but the middle courses fell flat with sauces that were way too strong. Strip loin was super tender but had a lot of tendon, and the trout was just okay (clams were the best part). Cocktails were mixed: In-Cider Information was excellent, but the lemon meringue and sass-squash drinks were pretty bad. Service was solid and we appreciated the complimentary caviar for a birthday. Nice bonus that they take InKind, so we saved $100. Good restaurant with some standout dishes — just not perfectly consistent.
The food is incredible. Come hungry. Not only was it great, but the staff was incredibly gracious in dealing with an issue related to our reservation time. Great food, great service. I would definitely recommend Emmett.
This place definitely deserves all the praise. Everything was phenomenal. The atmosphere was warm, cozy and inviting. The staff was exceptional- both attentive and genuinely friendly. Shoutout to Erin for all her amazing recommendations and Lucky who brought out every dish with a friendly smile. The tasting menu offered one-of-a-kind dishes and creative drinks that made the experience truly memorable. We will be visiting again in the future!
