Emily's Donuts and Café

We dropped off our daughter at The College of William & Mary and checked out some places to eat while in Williamsburg. We decided to check out Emily’s Donuts based on the great reviews. It did not disappoint! We got half a dozen doughnuts which included the cannoli cronut, lemon, Boston Cream, red velvet, apple pie, and maple bacon. The doughnuts are light in texture and just the right sweetness. All were absolutely delicious!! We got there about an hour before closing, so there were many types already sold out. Of note, the store opens at 5:30 am and closes at noon. We will definitely be back and will get there earlier to try more.

Go, just go! so good. staff is friendly and helpful. they have and awesome points rewards program... and the donuts, fritters, rolls.... drool-worthy! We consistently get the apple and blueberry fritters (the size of your face), pb&j donuts, and cronus! Like I said, just go! oh, and go early, cuz they close when they run out!

Got the strawberry jelly donut. You don't get this much jelly in 3 jelly donuts from Dunkin. This made my afternoon! I couldn't reccomend more and the person assisting me right before close was super kind and nice. I live in VA Beach and this will be a place i will go out of my way for when I'm passing through. 5 stars!

We’ve been coming to Emily’s Donuts for a number of years since coming to Williamsburg. Their donuts are amazing, but I’m disappointed to see them cutting back on filling. My favorite has always been the split cream that has typically been overfilling with the cream. Whereas the last few years it has been getting less and less. The photos below compare the difference in filling from 2019 to today.

Emily's Donuts is a personal favorite in my my list of special places to visit whenever I'm nearby that I discovered just a couple of years back and tried for the first time. The quality to this day remains incredible, and the service is always splendid with indoor seating options to enjoy a quick breakfast or snack as appropriate. I came to visit for the first time since 2022 as I was staying at a nearby hotel for a work conference I had to attend later in the week, and it was really fun being able to see the sign still holding high in the spot I remember it being the first time. Their coffee is hot as can be and pairs perfectly with my favorite of their pastry options, like maple bacon donuts and blueberry fritters. Can't wait to be stationed in VA soon again to visit more often 🤗 😌
