The customer service was great no complaints. He offered suggestions, came promptly to the counter when I entered, and was professional. The place felt like your grandmother’s kitchen to be honest. Music was playing and a group that were dining in was singing and dancing!! I love that whole heartedly!! First, I would like to start by saying I’m not new to eating African cuisine. Unfortunately the food fell terribly short of my expectations, maybe this wasn’t one of their better days. I had egusi goat, fufu, jollof rice, and plantains. The food lacked traditional spices and seasoning. The goat was not tender, the fufu was a day old I could tell by texture and consistency. And the plantains were too ripe for my liking. The jollof rice was good.

The food was really good! The oxtails and the Jollof rice were flavorful and tender, seasoned just right. Everything was very delicious, especially with the hot sauce options on the side. The fufu paired so well with the oxtail and gravy, it just all came together perfectly. The owner was super nice and welcoming. He even gave us free African donuts, I believe they’re called mandazi, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. That really stood out to me. The sour soup, a leafy green soup known for its tangy flavor, wasn’t too sour but you could still taste that tanginess, and it was really good. I loved trying new items. It was refreshing to go to a West African restaurant and actually feel like you’re truly at an authentic African spot. You can tell the owner takes pride in staying

This was my first time trying this restaurant. I was greeted with a warm smile and engaged in enjoyable conversation about the food. All of my questions were thoroughly answered regarding making selections. The food was delivered with generous portions and absolutely delicious. We chose the oxtails, and although I would have preferred them to be a little more tender, the flavor was absolutely lovely. I chose for my entrée the red snapper… Absolutely delicious! And this was my first time trying the spinach. I loved it. It had a mild garlic flavor, and the texture was something different for me but absolutely delicious. We also loved the Fufu. Not my first time having it, but it is a must-have to sop up all the good juices or broth with your food. Definitely will be trying this spot again!

Got the egusi goat with fufu. Highly recommend coming in and giving it a try. I've always wanted to so when I saw this restaurant wasnt too far away I took the opportunity. I asked the owner for a recommendation and this is what he pointed me to. Nice and flavorful. Goat was delicious and tender. Owner was extremely nice and informative.

The food and service were amazing. It felt like home style food. I could tell it was made with love by the way it was presented to us. We loved every thing that we ordered. It was so flavorful and felt like it was made just for us. I wish I could say what was my favorite dish, but everything was equally amazing to me. However my brother really enjoyed the fish and jollof rice. Each time I’m in town this will be my first stop. I can’t wait to return.
