Elkton Community Library

Back in elkton after 10 years. Pleasure to have library close. Updated my info and already have a book on hold waiting for pickup. Excellent. Very pleased. Thanks to all librarians for their help.

It's a small library, but it has a nice collection of books. Everything was neat and tidy! If they don't have the book you want, you're put on a waiting list, and you're sent a copy from another library. The librarian on hand was most helpful and friendly.

This is a tiny library. I stopped by to find out about getting a library card. There were lego figures on display on a regular bookshelf (not behind glass like most libraries). My 4 yr old brought me one, the librarian became very upset because he was touching the legos. They were on a low shelf where anyone could grab them. I wound up leaving because my son didn't understand why he couldn't play with legos. So of course this resulted in a tantrum. Please put toys you don't want children touching out of reach.

I am so glad the library is open again! It is clean. well organized, and ready to serve us.
