Elgin City Public Library

It's a small library with lots of fiction and children's books in front, and a limited variety of non-fiction in the back. The staff was polite, and helpful to my questions.

The Elgin pubic library is located in a small building just a few blocks from the grocery store. It has a surprisingly wide selection of books for its size, and also lends DVDs, CDs, and Audio Books. In addition to the typical 'library' services, they offer B&W copies, Scanning and Fax services, and offer free WiFi until 9PM. They have several computers for patron use, and also have a meeting table that seats up to 8 or so. The librarian and staff are kind and friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. They offer summer reading and 'adventure' activities for kids. The only down-side is the tiny parking area, although there is on-street parking across the way.

Ladies are very helpful. Love the plethora of books and magazines to check out!! Great library, quiet, computers well watched and used in timely manner. Never seen the ladies without smiles! Wide choice of books to read and even free paperbacks with different genres! A great library for such a small town. And even can order books by internet if they don't have the one you want from a collaboration of libraries in our own neck of the woods in NE Oregon!

Very friendly librarian. Computers to use for printing documents, etc. Racks of books to read for out of town visitors without a library card. Wish I had found this place earlier in my stay.

The Elgin Public Library has a nice clean building, very friendly staff, and free WiFi.
