Elegant Lady Bed & Breakfast

We had such an excellent stay at the Elegant Lady B & B. Our room was very spacious and included an attached bathroom and sitting area. The home is filled with beautiful antique furniture, fixtures, china and decor. Barb was a gracious host who has an appreciation for history and the preservation it. She made us a fabulous breakfast with a wide selection. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay at the Elegant Lady!

We loved the Elegant Lady Bed and Breakfast! The owners have lovingly restored this beautiful Victorian home. There are before and after pictures that are worth looking at, it is incredible what has been accomplished in terms of renovations! Barbara is very welcoming, and she is also so flexible! We arrived late and left early on our way to visit our daughter in New Jersey. Barbara was willing to get up early to fix breakfast before we left, but we chose to pay a little less and not have breakfast. That was certainly our loss, as I am sure Barbara is a wonderful cook. We feel so bad we have never reviewed this incredible B&B. We have made The Elegant Lady B&B a yearly visit since 2010 when our daughter went to Elmira College nearby. We found it accidentally when there were no rooms available for Parents Weekend in the Elmira area. Barb and John have become our friends. The most amazing historical restoration to a home I have ever seen as done by the homeowners themselves. We have stayed in three of the rooms over the years depending on availability and they were all exceptionally clean and comfortable. I got married at the end of August in 2019 and my mom found this great little b&b for the night before the wedding as well as the night of and I could not have had a BETTER experience!||The owners were so friendly and so accommodating. They didn't mind that I had an entourage of 7 people going in and out of the house the morning of the wedding. They moved furniture around and my portraits came out amazing due to the natural beauty of this building. My photographer had a field day with all the little details that were left here and there around our room and in the common area. My mother chose this quaint little B&B as the place I would get ready for my wedding which was in a nearby town and I was not disappointed! Barbra would reply to my email very quickly whenever I needed anything and she was sooooo accommodating. She let my entire bridal team (7 professionals altogether) move things around and utilize areas for beautiful portraits! They had a field day with all the details and craftsmanship of this house! She didn't mind them going in and out and up and own the stairs. She was great and took care of everyone so well. I can't wait to get the photos processed from my bridal portraits!
