El Viejon Mariscos y Botanas

Wow, this is one to put on your list for seafood. My wife and I just enjoyed their amazing grilled octopus, ceviche, and shrimp cocktail. The octopus was cooked perfectly tender unlike most places that turn it into rubber when you're not close to the ocean. The marination was delicious. Be sure to get a side of the black oil salsa to lightly dip since it's pretty spicy. I would suggest to ask for a metal fork since it's still cooking when they give it to you on the platter which is pretty cool since I wasn't expecting something like this from a food truck. The shrimp cocktail was amazing the shrimp were big and plump pre-shelled with great flavor. Looking forward to getting back there and trying more of their amazing food they had so many different options. Will definitely be getting back

We went right when it open after seeing them on TIKTOK and it did not disappoint, the grill octopus 🐙 was 10/10 it was prepared to perfection I would get this again, we asked for tacos 🌮 as well and a shrimp and octopus 🐙 cocktail and nothing disappointed we love it and the octopus is very reasonably price and comes with a salad rice beans and tortillas !!! My new favorite sea food place 10/10 The staff was very nice ,friendly & attentive!!!!

Tried this food truck recently because I saw it on Tiktok. The food truck is called El Viejon Mariscos y Botanas in Orem. I ordered 3 tacos, pierna de res, shrimp, and fish. I also ordered the pulpo or octopus dinner meal. I was surprised that the tacos were only 1 corn tortilla instead of the double. The pierna was very flavorful and tender. The shrimp and fish tacos were over fried that it was just the only thing you could taste. I was not expecting the shrimp to be fried either so that was different. The sides that come with the octopus meal was not enough for $30. There was only 3 small corn tortillas, could have at least given 5 or 6. There was not enough beans, rice, and greens. The beans were very runny, but at least the flavor was alright. The rice was a bit too fluffy and bland. T

Did not disappoint! I got 2 shrimp tacos and 2 carne asada tacos and I was absolutely satisfied! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Gracias gente
