El Tako Nako Food Truck

The food was phenomenal. We are from Houston, Texas where there's an amazing Mexican restaurant every block. When we moved to Virginia, we couldn't find the same authentic Mexican food, so when we saw this taco truck, we had to stop by and try it. That was the best decision ever. The tacos were delicious, the salsas that come with were rich with flavor. The Al Pastor is the best and the Birria had a deep beef flavor that was unforgettable. If you're looking for good food that will be served quickly by kind people, this is the spot to go.

I am VERY picky about tacos birria and this place is DELICIOUS. My family and I were on our way back home from a family trip on a 30 ft drivable RV at 10:30 pm. The entrance was easy and parking was also easily accessible. The staff was super kind and patient.. we have a big family and an indecisive mother lol. Our food was ready within minutes. It was beyond delicious. Their consume with the tacos is TOP NOTCH. It has a lemon like taste. I saw the guy boiling it in the pot, freshly made. Tacos are $3 each and sodas are also $3 each. Absolutely worth it.

Best tacos in Charlottesville, no doubt. Tacos are amazing and salsa has tons of flavor. First bite surprised me with how good it was! Grilled onions were so good. Don’t pass this spot up if you’re in the area

Tako Nako serves up authentic Mexican street food, including delicious quesadillas, tacos, and more. The food quality was outstanding, and we got to enjoy our meal in the cozy restaurant, sipping Coke from a glass bottle while a soap opera played on the TV. This family-owned gem definitely deserves five stars.

This is my go-to spot on my way from lynchburg to charlottesville, richmond, or DC. It’s quick, delicious, and the salsa that comes with the quesadillas is free, so that’s a great bonus. They’ve got a bunch of beverage options and a good, covered spot to stop, rest and eat!
