I had an amazing experience at El Super Pan Latino Sandwiches & Bar. The atmosphere was vibrant and truly Caribbean, full of festive energy. The food was healthy and fresh, with wholesome ingredients like brown rice and well seasoned veggies. The bar was packed, which is a great sign that their drinks are awesome! Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a seat at the bar, but that definitely speaks to how popular it is. They also offer delicious guava and cheese sweet pastelitos that are a must try! Additionally, the service was excellent! Our server, Dallas, was incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Wow. This was delicious and the staff was so kind! Had a wonderful experience for lunch. Myrna was super helpful and it was so nice to chat with her. I got the Pan de Jamon y Queso - it was fantastic. I also love the attention to the sides- I got the rice and beans and it was obvious their sides weren't an after thought - they were delicious as well!
My first time here and I am not disappointed! The food and service! Chefs kiss! Caiden was so delightful and helpful. He had me try the play and with the mayo-ketchup sauce, and omg!! So good! I ordered some to take with me home! And it was nice to find out he’s a fellow Scorpio. As my cousin and I are in town celebrating our bdays as well! Such a vibe! Loved it!! 🙌🏾🤎
Wow! I've seen this place a dozen times at the Battery and never went, but today while in the Ponce City Market, I stopped by just to see what they had to offer. Jada immediately greeted me and was so courteous and honest when I asked her opinion on the menu items. She even made a suggestion when I was stuck between a few menu options and man- her suggestion did not disappoint! The flavor profile is hands down one of the best meals I've had this calendar year. I'm not easily impressed, in fact- I'm usually quite critical. However, they were clean, prompt to serve, the food was hot, seating was comfortable and convenient but it's the food... the food is spectacular! I ordered a Beef Pastelito to start while waiting for my meal and the Shrimp Al Ajillo Mofongo bowl with a side of yuca fries
Mofongo was fine, rope vieja was good. But $26 for this portion was seriously absurd. I’ve had better PR food in NYC for half the price. I understand the rent must be high in PCM, but 26 dollars is crazy, especially when the menu above the ordering counter doesn’t list a single price. I would hesitantly pay $16-18 for this bowl.
