El Rinconcito Salvadoreño #2

Came here with my wife and kids for lunch in between basketball games. We love pupusas so we were excited to try this place out. We are so glad that we did! The food and service here is AMAZING!! They started things off right by bringing us complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered empanadas which were perfectly sized, filled with meat (chicken or beef) and the corn crust was perfectly crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. We ordered the mixed pupusas which were stuffed with cheese, beans and chicharon and we're accompanied by a side salad and picked veggies. WOW! These may be the best pupusas we have ever had in our lives!!! We also ordered La Parilla Especial which came with the most tender and perfectly cooked steak and chicken ever!!! I couldn't believe how much the price of horchata went up. I ordered on the phone and whoever took my order let me know how much the gallon would yield versus how much I'd actually need. I followed her advice and didn't regret it! When I got there to pick it up, I signed my receipt and made a comment to the person taking my payment. She got snappy and rude, she said yeah the price on everything has gone up. I let her know I'm only in the area about twice a year or so, so I make it a point to get my drink when I'm down there. I understood completely, that didn't remove the shock for me and it definitely didn't mean she had to be rude. Silver lining? The horchata didn't spill and it was delicious!!

Service is above average. Lizette was attentive, friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent! The grilled fish was seasoned perfectly. Sides were all fresh. Avocado and plantains were perfectly prepared. We were here on vacation and came back twice! And, we tried all of the desserts. You can’t go wrong.

Took out of here on my first and last night while staying at the Wyndham resort. Food value is fantastic. Was able to feed my family of 5 (3 under 8, though) for $50. Everything tasted great, even the chicken wings! My wife thought the burrito was the best she's had. My kids loved the tacos, and I enjoyed the mix of enchiladas, beleadas, and fajitas. Highly recommended! Final point is that the takeout takes an extra 5 minutes than their stated time.
