After a UH Coogs victory, we were famished and needed to celebrate with tacos. Julian at the Memorial City El Rey was working the front and was so pleasant and got our order perfect, even with all our substitutions. The food came out so quick and it was piping hot. So much better than that stadium food. Thanks for a great dine experience as usual! PS - definitely order the chips and guac!!

Great service. Julian at the drive through went the extra mile for customer service helping make reccomendations for drinks and food. The cantaloupe water is awesome. Salmon taco was bomb too!!

Being in memorial city for 3yrs. El Rey has always been my top 3 place! Great customer service and most importantly. The quality of food is amazing! Cuban style! Thank Julian for the great way to explain the menu for me and my daughter!

The one star service review is for my last visit only. Admittedly, it’s a hit or mess with this place… Not the food, but the service. This last time, I ordered half chicken plate Cuban style. What I got when I got home was sort of half a chicken, the wing was missing. Now, why would you do that? Surely you could use that less than half a chicken for something else. The other irritating thing is when they ask for a tip through the drive-throug ( or even inside). Why would I wanna tip anybody when I’m going through the drive-through or when I’m ordering my food, getting my own drink and then getting my own tray and then taking my tray to the trash. Are they getting paid 2.35 an hour? probably not. So why do they expect a tip? Why does the company even put that as a line item on their receipt

I'm genuinely surprised that anyone could visit here and rate it less than five stars. The food, service, and ambiance are all outstanding. The staff are friendly, and everything on the menu is simply fantastic. I've enjoyed both breakfast and lunch here and often explore the menu whenever I'm in the mood. My favorites are the El Rey fish tacos and the protein bowls—AND they have the best grilled veggies around!
