El Pollo Loco

Walked into El Pollo Loco after surgery just trying to get something simple to eat, and what I saw honestly made the whole experience worse. Most of the staff handling food weren’t wearing gloves at all. Out of everyone working, I only noticed one person with gloves on. The rest were grabbing cilantro and food items bare-handed like basic health and safety rules just didn’t exist. Food safety guidelines are in place for a reason. If someone isn’t even willing to take the few seconds it takes to put on gloves, it really makes you wonder whether proper hand-washing is happening either. Restaurants are supposed to follow sanitation standards — things like actually washing hands thoroughly before touching food. That’s the bare minimum customers expect. Do not like how there's a women's restroom and not men's restroom, 2 bathrooms one women's the other for everyone, what about if there's a girl in there and a man waiting for the restroom because its the only restroom for men and women.... horrible concept. Othere than that the food was good and service was great. Fix the restroom situation

I specifically asked for no rice and extra beans inside of my bowl, my order was backwards hell of rice maybe a few beans, idk why but the chicken breast smells like dog food……well

My daughter bought 2 large chicken tortilla soups this is the tortilla chips included. She drove off & saw it too late: 2nd time at least where it seems customer care is lacking. Check your orders before you leave.

So I ordered a chicken salad tostada, when ready for pickup I notice it's missing sour cream and the creamy cilantro dressing...I go back to ask for dressing and they tell me they are out, so I ask for green salsa. I ask for sour cream, they tell me they are also out....shouldn't they make customers aware of this while ordering so I can decide if I still want to order?!?! Then I over hear register employee still asking customers if they want sour cream in their meal. Terrible customer service!
