Beautiful Decor. Our server was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and plentiful. Gave 4 stars for service because our server wasnt able to come back to our table for 30 minutes as she was held up by a large group who was ordering food. We had expected to place a take out order. I felt the other staff, and there were plenty, couldve came to check on us. We were the only sit down customers leftb we even tried to get their attention. When our server was available again, we were told they'd just closed the kitchen and werent taking anymore orders.

El Patron Family Restaurant is a gem! Amazing food, great drinks, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. The friendly staff and lively music make it unforgettable. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience. Can’t wait to return! Just down the road from the John Deere museum, this is one of the great places to eat in Waterloo, IA

This was Luther College's bowling teams second time here because the first time 2 weeks ago was so good. This time we had 14 people. Great food and excellent service again. Sever nailed everything and chips, salsa, and water refills kept coming. Highly recommend.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the cedar valley! Great staff, extremely funny and personable. Food is great and fair priced. Same with the drinks. Very little wait times in a great location for night life. Keep up the good work!!

El Patron is a favorite of ours and if you go away hungry it's your own fault! Juan and his staff are top notch and the food is out of this world! And one of MY favorite things is the gluten free options available on their menu! Don't pass this one by!
