El panzon chilango

This place was a recommendation from Instagram, and it did not disappoint. Started off with asada and pastor taco, the pastor was so crispy and flavorful. The tortilla was oily just enough with the fresh onion and cilantro with red salsa. Ordered the machete with asada and bistec empanizado, enough for two. The masa was a bit too thin non the less very delicious. The kids had the nuggets with fries and the chilaquiles and it was perfect. Will be coming back for sure, hidden gem, and felt like family. Oh and the cafe de olla was perfectly for this cold weather.

I found El Panzon Chilango on Instagram last week on Sunday. My wife and I the foodies that we decided to try this place. The restaurant is decorated very nicely, and the customer service was great. Everyone was smiling and happy, and the customers seemed very pleased with their food. We ordered 2 machetes and 3 Huaraches with carne asada and one large horchata to go. We got home and couldn't wait to eat. The food was tasty. The green and red salsa were spicy but edible. The horchata was a little watered down. The beans on the huaraches were too watery, no beans just like bean water, which made the huaraches soggy and fall apart. But, my biggest complaint was the carne asada, It was more lard approximately 60% lard and 40% meat. I posted a picture of one of the Huaraches my wife picked th

It's a must try if you like México City style garnachas. The food is good. They do need to work on their customer service. Even tho we were the only ones there, the server dropped the first round of food without asking if we needed anything else. I had to get up and interrupted their conversation and asked for salsa utensils and an extra plate. Then she delivered the second round of food and totally forgot about us all of this with an empty restaurant. So be aware and believe all the reviews mentioning that when they are busy the service and wait it's very bad. Besides that, and if you are willing to wait and be forgotten, you should give it a try.

Great food, for what we had...but some things can def need work...never seen street tacos with just pico de gallo....should be just usual cilantro n onions... but can't go wrong with machete n pambazo...and have to def go with the guyaba agua fresca. And since its a D.F. kinda food place...maybe some tacos al pastor...just saying

Portions are huge. The food is great. I have been looking for places that sells good Panbazos. I highly recommend trying it out. The bread is nice and soft. The service was great too. I highly recommend.
