It's a grocery store with Cuban styled products. They make sandwiches and there's a meat section as well as a small produce section. Staff is very nice. They can get busy at times. They also have a frozen foods section with an interesting variety of Cuban/Puerto Rican foods.
I heard about this lil gem almost 5 years ago and drive from Bakersfield every thanksgiving , Christmas and new years to order a whole lechon I’m a Cuban immigrant so finding Cuban authentic Cuban food in SoCal is hard to find the lechon takes me back to when my abuelo used to make the congri is so authentic it taste exactly like how my abuela made. The smell of the freshly bread is incredible every time I walk in, the bread tastes like I just bought it from a restaurant in Havana. I recommend this lil gem to everyone I know so delicious
I’ve been missing Cuban food something bad since moving to LA and this place hits the spot! This place has everything from REAL CUBAN BREAD to Tequeños to Kirby Beans and Maria crackers. While here I ordered beans, maduros, and two cubanos. I saw them cut the pork right off the roasted pig. It was FRESH!!! The lady working here was so nice and it reminded me of Cuban hospitality in Miami when people call you “mi cielo” or “mi tesoro “ iykyk I highly recommend this spot for delicious food and for Cuban Cocina Criolla ingredients!
I ordered the ox tail, two medianoches, beef stew and yucca. To save time, I ordered the items over the phone, but the majority of the order was incorrect. Thankfully, I had the time to make the amendments, but I wish the menu was more available online to avoid future confusion. The food was delicious and quite filling. It fed 4 adults with ease. This is REAL Cuban food, which I can't wait to have again.
Great little spot for hot food on weekends and a great little market for Cuban and Puerto Rican goods.
