El Morelense West Valley

The storefront looks like an ordinary fast food restaurant. This place has the best tacos I've ever tasted. I got the 1 pound of al pastor taco meat as a combo, which came with fifteen tortillas, chopped fresh pineapple, and separate bags of onions and cilantro on the side. I also got lime wedges and salsa. I didn't bother with any sides, but it all ended up being more than enough food for two people. You guys! I never knew tacos could be this amazing! I thought I understood, but no. These tacos are all the way off the chain. The tortillas were soft and flavorful, the pineapple was perfectly ripe, the salsa was amazing, and all the flavors came together into what can only be the peak of taco flavor. My buddy who spent the last 20 years in Houston, TX considers this place the closest to Tex Mex Pastor Tacos and such. So if he likes this place and will drive from Millcreek, then this place is worth the effort in Salt Lake.

We heard about a place where you can get 1 lb al pastor. After searching, it was this place that offered it and I am so glad we went here! We got 2 lbs of al pastor to take home. It tasted so good and the meat quality was great! The only thing I wish it came with was tacos. We had to buy them separately but they were really cheap. I think it was 10 for $1. This place is located inside the Latino Mall. We definitely plan on coming back when we feel like feasting like this again!

Searching for a taco spot and tried this one for the first time today with my son. Have to go through the grocery store to find it tucked away. Ordered #2 is a 10 mini street tacos combo for $15.99. We got 5 asada and 5 al pastor- can’t have tacos without a Coke in a glass bottle- absolute must! We ate in and is served in a personal preference style with all fixings on the side for you to top it the way you like. Diced onions, cilantro, quartered lime, red AND green salsas and a side of salt. About as close to south of the border taste that I’ve had on this side. Gracias!

This place has AMAZING Al Pastor! We purchased Al Pastor con Piña y Queso (Al Pastor with Pineapple & Cheese) and it’s such a great value! The prices are a little more expensive than other taco places but the flavors really make up for it!
