El Mirador Restaurant

We love Enchiladas and have had it in most of the Mexican restaurants in NJ and NY. Chicken enchiladas here was the best!! Rice was cooked to perfection with the right seasoning. Bean sauce chicken everything was good. They customised a nice spicy version for me which was amazing. Came with a sweet presentation and friendly service. Definitely a must try !

Hands down it's the best pozole I've had on this side of the beautiful wall. Next time you're in Elizabeth I recommend you to stop by and try the authentic Mexican food El Mirador has to offer.

This place is a little family owned gem close to Newark airport. They make some of the best tacos and Mexican drinks I’ve ever had in a long time. I tried the steak, spicy chicken and shrimp tacos. All of them hit the spot. They have two types of salsa, salsa verde and salsa roja (super spicy) and both were delicious. Washed everything down with some fresh delicious Tamarind juice. Well worth the visit.

We had a wonderful experience all around. The food was fantastic. We ordered steak tacos & chicken nachos and my two picky eaters devoured what their bellies could hold and took home what was left of the “small”nachos which were HUGE in portion. We also ordered Churros for dessert that came coated with cinnamon sugar on a plate drizzled with chocolate syrup and vanilla glaze accompanied with a small bowl of yummy caramel for dipping. I cannot stress how sweet the staff were. They were very friendly and attentive. If ever in the area, definitely stop bye and give them a try.

The best Mexican rice & beans I’ve had.. and the tastiest meal severed homestyle. Met the lady who manages the kitchen and she was a delight to talk to as well.
