El Magey Mexican Buffet

We live in Marrero (across the river from New Orleans) and used to go to Blue Bayou every summer for a weekend trip. About 8, or so, years ago on one of our trips, we discovered El Magey and fell in love. So we went to visit every time we went on our trip. It's been about 5 years since we last went, and, I had been craving El Magey for over a month. Yesterday, I couldn't take it any more and we climbed in the car and took the trip. One of the people we took had never been before and was surprised how great the food is. Their food is put out in small portions so the food is always fresh because it's constantly being replenished. I made a total pig of myself!! We all agreed it was worth the trip and we're looking forward to our next trip to El Magey. I highly recommend it if you like good M

Great selection for the buffet, and the food was SO GOOD!!!!!! it was all very fresh and hot, and the service was so friendly!!! Will definitely be coming back soon!

We were very happy with our visit to El Magey! We saw them in TikTok and were NOT disappointed! The buffet had a wonderful selection of fresh food that was constantly being replenished. Everything was delicious. Staff were constantly wiping down the buffet counter and checked in on us frequently but not too frequently. When our 2 year old accidentally knocked off her water, they were so very kind, got everything cleaned up, and replaced her cup quickly. The deserts were scrumptious and we will definitely be returning! Great price for a buffet! Overall, fantastic experience!

Drove an hour and 45 minit3s to try this place and it was well worth thr drive. They did not disappoint. Thr food, was fresh and hot and they were constantly replenishing. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back and 💯 recommend!

This restaurant has a buffet and dessert. The barbecue was sooo good! Vegetables, lettuce salads, several kinds of cheese. Customers can get mint ice cream vanilla, fudge bars and more. The price was minimum for the meal you get. The restaurant was very clean and the TV was large enough to see your favorites.The bathroom was clean. The staff was the best by coming to our table. I will come back with my family.
