El Jefe Tacos & Cantina

Tried for the first time and it was really good! I love the fact that it’s not super greasy and it’s so flavorful!!! we had a couple dirty and clean tacos, and our favorite was definitely the Barbacoa… the pupusa was also so delicious! It came out hot and fresh. Danny is welcoming and friendly and service is great. So glad there’s a local taco shop in our neighborhood!

We’ve been looking for good tacos and burritos in the South Riding area, and we’ve finally found something worth writing home to our west coast based families about. The service was great, staff were super friendly and attentive. I ordered the Birria and Brisket tacos dirty, and the Al Pastor taco clean, alongside a carnitas burrito (no lettuce as pictured). The food was excellent, and their salsa options were great too. The atmosphere was good, a handful of TVs and a bar with tables alongside the wall. This is a great spot for small families or couples to go to, alongside someone on their way home from work who wants to grab a quick cervesa and a taco. I’m excited to go back - we’ve been looking forward to El Jefe opening and it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to see how they cont

Guacamole and chips were delicious and the barbacoa paired great with the 0-61 Cabernet Sauvignon. We'll definitely be back!

EXCELLENT FOOD! I tried chicken quesadilla, carne asada taco and chips/salsa Everything was really good and staff is friendly They were running out of seating room fast the day I went. They have these huge meals you can take home and feed lots of people Menu has a ton of variety and lots of options for meats etc I can’t wait to go again and try something else - they will be on my rotation whenever I am near chantilly!

The tacos look nothing like the photos. I got several of the "dirty" tacos and there was so little cheese you could not even see or taste it. thats $5 for ONE taco and no cheese. the meat was very dry and season-less. The place is tiny and awkward. They don't even have silverware, you get plastic spokes inside a plastic wrapper. Avoid this place and go to Taco Bamba for the best tacos in the state.
