El Jacalito

I ordered 1 Sope Tinga and the empanada de picadillo. The sope presentation was good. Unfortunately the tinga had very little flavor. I’d give it a 2/5. Even with the salsa verde, the tinga had no flavor but a lot of heat. Won’t order it again. The empanada de picadillo presentation was good and the food was flavorful! The crust is nice and crispy. Beef is well seasoned and has potatoes which give it that authentic empanada style. Add on the salsa verde and OOOOOO honey it was delish! 5/5 recommend this particular item! Overall, 3/5. I’d go again and try other items to see what else is tasty.😋

Service was very friendly. The food was delicious, starting with the chips and green tomatillo salsa! Fresh house made! The Fried Birria tacos were amazing! Flavorful and filled with stewed beef! The steak enchiladas had a home made sauce and you could tell it was made from scratch! The street corn was so delicious!

Cozy family run restaurant with very good food. The empanadas were excellent! They also had more Jarritos flavors than I think I've ever seen in one spot. Definitely going back!
