This restaraunt has a great lunch menu and their food was amazing! We ordered all of our favorites to try on our first visit. The street tacos are authentic and delicious! The chili relleno lunch special was huge and tasted great! We also got a a beef tamale and a cheese enchilada with green sauce, both of which were delicious! My husband said that the chicken chimichanga was stuffed to the brim with chicken and amazing as well! They also had a yummy guacamole dip and of course margaritas! Our waitress was adorable and very friendly! We will definitely be back!

Wanted to wait until we've been here a few times and every time has been great. Extensive menu, food is great, drinks are great, service top notch. I hope they do well here.

El Jacal is an absolute gem. From legit traditional dishes to happily customizing an order so my daughter gets her Taco Bell–style taco exactly right (cringe), they nail it every time. The staff is incredible—hard-working, welcoming, and clearly passionate about taking care of their customers. We love this place and feel genuinely lucky to have it close to home. Our family orders something new on every visit (everyone except my daughter 😄), and we’ve never been disappointed. And the kicker? A pitcher of top-shelf margaritas at an insanely affordable price. Amazing food, amazing people, unbeatable value. We’ll keep coming back—and telling everyone we know.

Our family has known the owners for a long time! They have been in the food business as far back as I can remember. The food was excellent, service was excellent. And we will definitely be back. It’s hard to find a place that takes pride in what they are serving, this place is definitely worth your time and money.

We have alot of choices for Mexican food here in the Belleville area and my family has eaten at them all! This place is something special though. Great selection on the menu, portions are generous, the staff is friendly and attentive. House salsa may be the best in the area and the queso dip is my current favorite! I went with the steak fajitas on my 1st visit and I was not disappointed. Came out sizzling and was cooked perfectly and was well seasoned. My son went with street tacos and said they were delicious as well. The 3rd member of our party went with a combo that included a Chile relleno, taco and an enchilada. All the food was well presented on the plate and we were very pleased with the whole experience (and the reasonable tab). You may have to drive a little farther to eat here
