El Horno Bakery

I'm very newly learning Spanish and came in to order a cake. The employees were kind and patient with me and my not-so-good-yet Spanish skills lol. I got the nutella tres leches and everyone loved it!

Distinctive Mexican baked goods and very personable owner. After dinner out at a nearby restaurant we saw this place online (looked for desserts) and decided to give it a try. Glad we did! We got a bag full of treats for $6.50 … less than a dessert would have cost each of us at the restaurant. Since we were not familiar with the selections, the owner talked us through all the items. Wow! He even pointed out some things we might find quite different (like the donuts). We each ate a treat in the car (couldn’t wait) and took the rest home. They were ALL delicious. Yes, even the donuts. There is no question. We will certainly return. Probably quite often.

1st time in and of course we went nuts and bought a bunch of pastries plus a tres leches cake! The tres leches didn’t make it out of the parking lot. Not the best we have had but damn good. The price was a steal for all the food we had. We will definately go back and try more!

Great food. Reasonable prices. Excellent doughnuts. The chocolate oatmeal boule, cheese danish, "multis," and cinnamon yellow cake doughnuts were my favourites. I didn't like the concha de vanilla. I liked the oreja de chocolate but my friends did not...YMMV. The creme filled eclair was very rich.

Our family loves coming here. The food is just amazing and so fresh. My favorite is the doughnuts, but all of the pastries and cakes are so good!
