El Encanto Restaurant

I was visiting Waterbury from North Carolina and just happened to find this restaurant looking for dinner...yum yum yummy. This soup "Mondongo" was the best thing I ever tasted. This is definitely the place to visit.

New favorite Dominican spot in Waterbury!! 🇩🇴 Better flavor than Via Al Paraiso. I used to go there all the time for Dominican food, however, this place has better flavor in my opinion (I tried their shrimp mofongo, pernil, and saltfish). Also, Via Al Paraiso is so stingy with their shrimp 🍤 with the shrimp mofongo...this place is NOT!! A much better portion for the money!! Also,the woman at the counter was so nice!! She let me try some of the food while I was waiting on my mofongo!! 🥰

So i just moved into the hood, and was out walking, looking for spots to eat and get party supplies, when the aroma of Puerto Rican food hit my nose. I stopped in abd was not disappointed. Portion of food was good, enough for dinner and lunch the next day. The owner and his wife were so kind and courteous, food is amazingly home cooked good. I WISH I COULD GIVE IT 10 STARS. I will being adding this place into my weekly meal plan fo sho!! Not sure what its called Chicken, peppers, over white rice and beans. Omg so flippin good. Please support this place, they are very good and down to Earth.

The food was so tuff and good it satisfied my taste buds. Would highly recommend if you lived in the area.
