El Charro

¡¡Muy bien!! I stopped in at 2:15 pm. They're was only one other customer in the restaurant, an he was just leaving. I placed an order for two #25 Chicken Chimichanga Dinners. I received my order in about 10 minutes. I paid and left. Upon returning home I unpackaged the order and found it to be completed accurately and included fresh tortilla chips and some delicious salsa. They even included plastic silverware, which was nice. Everything was only $22, so a good deal too.

This place hit the spot. Jennifer was our server. Google reviews will not allow for decimal points, so my overall score would be a 4.6. Let me start with the food. The flavor, 5 stars. The chili relleno was very tasty. Only complaints were it was small and the batter wasn't as light and flaky as I prefer. Real cheese was used and it had plenty of beef. Onto the Chicken Chimichanga. It was a decent size with outstanding flavor. Was stuffed to the brim with chicken. Wasn't overly smothered in sauce and was still crispy. Zero complaints from me. The rice was tasty, light and fluffy. Now, my biggest complaint. The beans. These were whipped to the point of they were more like a soup. I found zero bean chunks in it. Our service was fantastic, the server, she was super busy, but was always smiling!! Our food was great tasting, filling and hot (temperature)!! They serve chips with salsa and queso.... no charge! Cash and credit cards only!

Driving through the area and we needed to stop for supper. El Charro had bustling take out orders and after eating here, we know why. We really enjoyed our meal, and service was great! The salsa had great flavor; they gave a fresh spin to this Mexican staple. Mrs. Flip Out had the chicken flautas and they were very good. I had a combination plate with a burrito, taco, and enchilada. I really enjoyed my meal, and the rice and beans were good also. If you’re traveling through Sayre, stop in for a bite.

Service was great. Very friendly and fast. Beef burrito was tasty and perfect for lunch. $8. Highly recommend.
