El Charro | Oaxaca Restaurant

We visited this place expecting to enjoy delicious Oaxacan food, but it was nothing like that. The meat wasn’t fresh — it tasted as if it had been stored for a long time. The mole seemed to be the kind sold in cups, and the rice was terrible. The only redeeming aspects were the friendly service from the waitress and the handmade tortillas. It’s a place with plenty of parking and ample space. I truly hope the owner reconsiders the quality of the service and does justice to Oaxacan cuisine. The prices were very high for the quality of the food.

Great food. Well, my food came out great but my mom ordered tacos and they all came out broken and it made it hard for her to eat. Bomb mole enchiladas, and tasty shrimp cocktails.

Was visiting a friend who lives in the area. I love authentic Mexican food and always love the opportunity to try some so I suggested that we visit this place. Food was really good! I tried the huitlacoche enchiladas (which I never had before) and the oaxacan quesadillas and my friend tried the mole negro enchiladas. Everything we had was absolutely fantastic! It's great that some good quality authentico is in this area. Def would recommend trying this place out!

LOVED THIS PLACE ♡ THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, THE WAITRESS WAS HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND THE RESTAURANT WAS CLEAN. THEY SERVE GRILLED CRICKETS IN DIFFERENT WAYS BUT WE TRIED THEM ON THEIR OWN SINCE IT WAS THE FIRST TIME TASTING THEM FOR 3 OUT OF THE 4 IN OUR PARTY. IT'S SOMETHING YOU MUST TRY AT LEAST ONCE. WE ALL LIKED THEM (EVEN MY 2 KIDS). NEXT TIME WE WILL TRY THEM WITH CHEESE 😁 THEY DON'T HAVE FREE REFILLS WHICH WAS A BUMMER BUT WE WILL BE GOING BACK FOR SURE
