El Calero Restaurant

This place is very mom and pop, it does feel like you just walked into a restaurant in El Salvador, the decoration, large screens with sports games on there. A good variety of beers. I ordered steak and eggs, it was a 6-8oz flank steak with two eggs, some rice , plantains, and a wedge of string cheese. The kids were not hungry so I gave the rice to one, plantains to another and split the cheese for them . Very accommodating staff. Offered two Capri sun for the kids while they waited. Less than $16 (not including tip). Yes kid friendly. Glad I stopped here it was as if I had lunch out of the country.

Great food. This is the most authentic Salvadorian restaurant in the area, all the staff are very friendly and kind.

Been here a few times and we really like supporting small businesses. However today we ordered soup for lunch. Got one (1) beef on a bone...just one piece....like seriously? Half cooked rice and corn. Still kind of tough. It was like a kids meal. Won't be returning at this place.

Pupusas were fantastic! I tried the mixed bean and steak, cheese, and cheese and shrimp. It’s my new comfort food!

Friendly staff and delicious food. I ordered to go and it took about 15 minutes to prepare. Next time I'll order on the phone in advance. Regardless, this is highly recommended.
