El Borincano Restaurant

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiles and told to have any seat. Very small place with maybe 4 tables and some seating by the window. More of a take out spot. But the smell as you walk in, took me back to Puerto Rico. We just had frituras … alcapurrias, sorullos de queso and empanadas de carne y queso!! All delicious, especially the sorullos!! Must go to spot even if you order it to go!!!

Everything is always good, the chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy inside. I really like their mofongo. The lady that works the front with black curly hair is really nice. Whoever is doing the cooking knows what they’re doing.

Food was very good. Tastes like home. Very well seasoned. By that I meant seasoned with spices, every bite is full of flavor. Well-prepared and well-cooked. Salted to perfection. Nothing is overly salty. We will definitely be back again!

The food here deserves 10 stars! Thank you to fellow Yelp reviewers who led me to suggest my friends to go to El Borincano for dinner. While the restaurant only seats 12 people, the ambiance and aroma is so welcoming. I ordered the bBistec Encebollado - beef sautéed with onions with 2 sides that you can choose from: salad, white rice, yellow rice, tostones or sweet plantains. I got salad and yellow rice. The salad was so fresh served with no dressing however it goes well with the house sauce (akin to thousand island with mayo..?). Yellow rice is moist. My friends ordered Fried Pork Chop and conch salad. These were served in delicious well seasoned portions. Highly recommend this restaurant, easily my best Latin American restaurant. You will NOT be disappointed, guaranteed!
