El banquete Restaurant

It may be an El Salvadorian restaurant, but it reminds me of the little spots you find when traveling in Mexico. The food is fantastic and perfectly legitimate. Try the pupusas. That’s a taste of El Salvador. I forewent dinner in NYC to return here to eat the second night in a row.

The food was good. I ordered a pupusa, but it was not served with curtido, or salsa as is traditional for a pupusa. The braised pork ribs in green salsa are delicious. The green salsa had a very nice flavor profile without heat. I do prefer mine spicy, but this was tasty. They have an extensive menu of aguas frescas, tried the horchata, it was not good. The atmosphere could use a little TLC, many of the table tops were cracked, and the place was run down. Ok for takeout.

Amazing food and flavors. I love Latin food and I’ve been living in the area well over 15 years, and this is probably the best you could get around here that truly represents the Latin variety and flavors. They have great and hard working people there. Great service! I mostly get take-out food, it’s a bit of a small area to eat-in and loud music at times, but hey, it’s all about preferences and what you like/don’t like. Overall 10/10 when it comes to food, variety and flavors.

Absolutely delicious food - large portions and low prices. The chicken soup is absolutely amazing and the garlic shrimp were delicious too. Definitely coming back.

Nothing fancy, looks like it’s frequent by locals which I love. You must come hungry to this place! After a hike and wine tasting we found this hidden gem! Food was delicious and genuinely tasty, My husband ordered the bandeja mixta I the bandeja with steak and pork plus 3 Pupusas, the best I ever ate❤️Las aguas fresca to drink were very good! Will definitely return!
