El Balcón de las Américas - Fort Lauderdale

This Colombian food restaurant in Ft Lauderdale is part of a franchise that has several locations throughout Broward County. It is such a great place for great authentic, regional and savory dishes. Their menu is huge! And the food is consistently fresh, well prepared, and beautifully served. The staff is really awesome! Our server, Diego, was so attentive, helpful by making suggestions from the menu, and he made sure everything was perfect! The restaurant itself has a great location on commercial boulevard. It's big and bright with nice tables service and bright interiors.

We got stuck in Florida due to the snowstorm, and I was really in the mood for something authentically Colombian. This place came up as a suggestion, and I’m so glad it did. The music was welcoming, and the décor felt warm and inviting—but the food and service were truly first-class. Wilmer was our server and did an amazing job recommending dishes that were both flavorful and beautiful. I ordered the bandeja paisa along with empanadas, and everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you to the entire team—and especially Wilmer—for such a great experience. It was the perfect way to enjoy our unexpected stay before leaving town.

First time in El Balcón de las america’s it!! The food was extremely good and the prices were very reasonable. I started with a lemonade with coconut, some patacones with guacamole and hogao. Lomo saltado as my entree!! I would maybe make the tomato’s smaller but other than that delicious!!

WOW this restaurant has a great selection of plates. The Ajiaco was soo delicious with the right ingredients. The “arroz con pollo” rice with chicken together with the salad and maduros was amazing!! We will keep going there!

Paula was our server she was great. The food is amazing real authentic Colombian food. Cute aesthetic restaurant. Every time I come I try something new and it does not disappoint. The plate I got was the carne de res sancocho.
