El Amigo Mexican Restaurant

We lived in the area for over a year before we tried this place, because it honestly doesn’t look like much from the outside. We weren’t even sure if it had an indoor seating area. There is a small seating area and parking in the back of the restaurant. The food is excellent! Authentic and fresh food and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The service is great and they are open every day but Wednesday. Highly recommend!

This family-owned restaurant has been serving excellent and freshly prepared food in this town for decades! Every time we're passing through or working in the area we try to eat here and have never been disappointed. In fact I consider it one of my favorite Mexican restaurants of all time. Everything is homemade and delicious! The front porch is also a delight to experience during nice weather.

This is a quiet, clean little place. The employees are very friendly and the service is great. I ordered several things off the menu and sat outside to eat. The food tasted really fresh, and I enjoyed every bite. I had the Carne asada and chorizo tacos. I asked for guacamole, and it was made fresh. They made the salsa picante (hot sauce) when I ordered, and it was really good and spicy the way I like it. The salsa for the chips tasted fresh also. Overall, the experience was great!!! I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you are in or passing through Crescent City!!!

Being a San Diego transplant and living in a mindset that no mexican food can top mexican food from home. You walk in and I just felt like I was home. From the friendly mom and pop environment to the freshness of everything from the horchata to the tortillas and tamales that were made that morning. The amount of love put into every dish. I recommend the green sauce they make. It was delicious. I was however not a huge fan of the red salsa for the chips and salsa. If you haven't tried. Get in there you're doing yourself a disservice

Tremendous meal. Some of the more authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Florida, period. The salsas are homemade and packed with flavor. The pork is so well seasoned and the gorditas are cooked to perfection. Their agua frescas are unmatched- perfect for a hot summer day. We will be back!
