Eishaus Gelateria

Disappointed by the portion size—$4 for a tiny scoop that tasted more like overly sweet, gummy ice cream than authentic gelato. Pretty presentation, but not worth the price. They need to work on both quality and value.

Absolutely delicious gelato/ice cream. The portions are small and it's very expensive. The shop is pretty new, so they might still be testing out the pricing model. But definitely worth a stop to give it a try.

We saw Spaghettieis everywhere we went in Germany, and always regretted not trying it while we were there, so I was very pleased to see an Eiscafe open just a few blocks away. The spaghetti ice cream is very good: vanilla gelato pressed through a spaetzle press to form long strands, served on top of whipped cream and topped with "tomato sauce" (strawberry sauce) and "Parmesan" (shaved white chocolate). Eishaus has many variations on this basic concept, as well as approximately ten flavors of high-quality gelato. Not the flavorful punch in the mouth of the best gelaterias in Rome, but above average for the US.

Really cute idea but the ice cream itself was not actually tasty, the whipped cream came out of a can, and the portion was very small for the price.

My wife and I got a cone and a cup and it only cost like $10. And it was delicious! And the cone was homemade! We thought it was a great value compared to other places around Boston and Belmont. Will definitely be coming back.
