This place did not disappoint! It was AMAZING! My husband got the Tonkatsu Sando. It was so freaking delicious! I threw away the bagel I got next door and he had to split his sandwich with me. Lol. The owner of this place is super nice and very talented. The flavors were out of this world. You should definitely stop and try this place!
Absolutely tasty breakfast this morning at egg Yaki!! Such a unique twist on omelettes and other breakfast foods that I would be sure to visit and grab some food if you’re in the area. We got the rock on omelette & the what the fungi omelette as well as brussels sprouts and I would recommend all of the above! It comes with a ton of food so you’ll have leftovers and they give you lids so you can take everything home with you after you’re done eating. Also, they are so nice and friendly up at the counter so overall you have no excuse to not go :) 10/10!!!!
I don’t say this lightly…this may be some of the best food I’ve had in DC! Chef Nicolas is actually a genius. Egg Yaki sells delicious, massive, extremely fluffy omelettes. I chose the “Rock On!” which had Rock Shrimp, Cabbage, Spicy Mayo, Unagi Sauce and topped with crispy shallots. If I could eat this every day, I seriously would! After having the omelette I thought “how could this get any better?”, then I had the brussel sprouts! SO GOOD!!! Actually the best I’ve had in DC. The crispy Brussels sprouts have Fish Sauce Caramel, Fried Garlic, and Scallions in them. Highly highly recommend this spot and next door, AboveGround.
Yum! First time trying this place. It is really good. We found a place to sit inside right by the door but there was a lot of outdoor seating available in the cold. We got the Uncle pig omlete- Tender Pork Belly, Cabbage, Curry Mayo, Sesame, topped with fried garlic, crispy shallots and scallions. It reminded me of egg food young without gravy. I think next time I'll try the shrimp but we will be back for sure.
Got here early, on a weekday, one. Of the few open spots for breakfast Absolutely delicious, some of my favorite brussel sprouts, with the omelettes being very filling, pork and mushrooms were both juicy and flavorful Highly recommend
