I can't comment on the rooms as we never got that far. I booked our hotel the first week in September because we where trying out the door county wine tour. Manager at booking had me put down $105 for a deposit. After the wine tour we arrived at the hotel. No one was there and there was a sign on the door stating to call a number and check your email for instructions to get into your room. I never received an email with instructions. I called the number 3 or 4 times and on the last call left a message. So there we where, in an unfamiliar place and no where to spend the night. Luckily we where able to book last minute at Sister Bay Inn. When we where on our way to sister bay I received a phone call back from the manager, but by then it was too late. Premium property in Door County. View the lake from your bed! Or from your private balcony! Or from your couch looking through a big glass door! You may be able to get a space here when space is tight, or for a bargain price, because they are in the midst of a careful renovation, as of August 2025. I'm sure prices will go up and availability down next year.

My family and I decided to take a spur of the moment mini vacation before school started and Door County was destination. Being last minute, we had no idea where we’d stay but when we called Egg Harbor Lodge, they were so accommodating! The view from our room was unexpected and beautiful! We will be back!

Spontaneous choice of lodging ended up with us choosing to stay a 2nd night while we explored Door County. While the furnishings and decor might be a little dated, the room was immaculate with provisions for everything a much more modern hotel might provide (typically with a lot less character and warmth). Extremely friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom was tiny however shower had great water pressure and temperature control. Would recommend staying there again without question. Wish we would have stayed a 3rd night while exploring Sturgeon Bay. The extra driving would have been worth it.

We made our 2 night reservation about a month ahead of time and are so happy with our choice!||Super location within walking distance to everything in Egg Harbor. Far enough off road to avoid car noise. All rooms had a great view of bay.||All workers were friendly and helpful; we appreciated the restaurant and winery recommendations. They also gave us wine glasses to use.||We liked that it had a small indoor hottub with window so you could still bay. It was cooler and breezy on our trip. ||Rooms/building older, but rooms didn't have that old feeling. Well upkept and very clean. Bed was comfortable.
